Where are we based?
Based in beautiful Aberdeenshire in the North East of Scotland, Eco-Essentials is situated 15 miles north of Aberdeen on the outskirts of the village of Kemnay beside the Fetternear Estate overlooking the hills of Garioch and the Bennachie range with Inverurie & Kintore close by.
What do you sell?
Eco-Essentials is a UK wide online retailer of chemical-free products made from non-toxic natural and organic ingredients that are safe and unlikely to cause harm to humans or the environment. We are constantly reviewing ingredients to reduce the environmental impact of the products we stock and prefer to stock UK manufactured products to reduce road miles. You won't find any synthetic fragrances, SLS, synthetic preservatives (parabens)or petrochemicals in our catalogue. We are stockists of a wide range of Fragrance-Free products for the increasing numbers of people allergic or sensitive to fragrance and chemicals or eczema and psoriasis sufferers.

About our Founder:
The founder of Eco-Essentials suffers from debilitating migraines caused by Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS). Exposure to synthetic fragrances and chemicals can make life unbearable for people with MCS who are pushed to the margins of society with a terribly disabling, unrecognised and misunderstood health condition. Unless you have or know someone with MCS, then you will be blissfully unaware how the condition restricts daily life and pressurises all relationships with friends, family, employers and professions. Multiple Chemical Sensitivity sufferers need to avoid chemical exposures in order to stay well and this is how Eco-Essentials began. When you are faced with the choice of working with people and things that "smell" and make you unable to function or being signed off sick indefinitely you have to take a reality check. Eco-Essentials provides a chemical-free environment and employment opportunity for MCS sufferers and exists to promote a chemical-free lifestyle for everyone.
Chemically sensitive people believe they are the "Canaries in the coalmine" and that the general population has no idea the damage these persistent chemicals are causing to human and animal species.
Eco-Essentials cares about the environment:
The founder of Eco-Essentials is an environmentalist who campaigns to save the Scottish Red Squirrel and the Menie Sand Dunes SSSI site as an example and recently had a tree felling licence revoked on red squirrel habitat where active planning applications for housing development existed.
We have taken great care to create functional website with detailed product descriptions, ingredients lists and packaging information.
