Campaign to Stop Compulsory Purchase and Donald Trump Golf Destroying SSSI Sand Dunes at Menie, Aberdeenshire
Sustainable Aberdeenshire are currently campaigning against Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO) being issued by Aberdeenshire Council on 5 plots of land that Trump does not own but where planning applications have been submitted for them to be included in the proposed Trump Golf Resort & Housing Development at Menie Estate, Balmedie, Aberdeenshire.
...so what about the Highland Clearances, is history repeating itself? Aberdeenshire Council is hinting that they may use Compulsory Purchase Powers to buy properties from residents who will not sell to Trump, known locally as the Trumpland Clearances. The question you should consider is - could your home be the next? How would you feel if this happened to you? Could Aberdeenshire Council set another unwelcome precedent?

Why have these planning applications been lodged for land not owned by Donald Trump? There is no mention of Change of Use in any of them...invalid planning applications?
Sustainable Aberdeenshire oppose the development of a New Town (Trumpton) on Undeveloped Coast, an Area of Landscape Significance and on a legally protected Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI):
2 golf courses (we have 70 courses in Grampian already)
8 - 12 storey tower block 450 bedroom hotel
400 unit staff accommodation tower block (not jobs for locals - minimum wage service jobs)
36 luxury golf villas
950 luxury holiday appartments in tower blocks
500 exclusive £700,000.00 houses
Sustainable Aberdeenshire object because it would completely destroy the SSSI and a unique 4000 year old dynamic sand dune system which is the fifth largest in the UK, and one of the last remaining in the world. The whole area is classified as Undeveloped Coast and the development plans are unsuitable for such a beautiful & peaceful area, are completely against the Aberdeenshire Local Plan and will have detrimental effects on other protected areas such as RSPB Forvie Sands Nature Reserve further up the coast, not to mention the quality of life for people living in Aberdeen and the Shire.
Global warming can only be accelerated by this sort of development that relies on air & car travel resulting in increased carbon emissions. Sustainable Aberdeenshire are keen to support sustainable development of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Please don't be fooled by the Trump Media Machine because all profits will be fed back to Trump and local people will be exploited.
Sustainable Aberdeenshire have not given up on Menie. Remember, only "OUTLINE" Planning Permission has been granted. An application for Full Planning is still to follow and of course this can be objected to as well. So you know what to do, right? It's not in the bag yet Donald.
